A MAN died after he crashed his car off Moreton Road, Thame.

The 69-year-old was pronounced dead at the scene near the junction of the A329 Rycote Lane on Saturday morning just before lunchtime.

He had been driving his grey Renault Laguna estate car north along Moreton Road away from Moreton village, a police spokesman said.

Police only released details yesterday when they decided to appeal for witnesses.

The road was closed in both directions for two hours between the junction with Oxford Road and the A40 London Road.
