PRINTMAKERS from Oxford are now showing off their work at the Cornerstone Arts Centre in Didcot.

The new exhibition, Focus on Print, features the work of the Oxford Printmakers group and runs until Sunday, March 30.

Work on display by the Oxford co-operative includes a variety of printmaking techniques such as etching, screen print, linocut and woodcut.

There are 78 prints, featuring a wide range of different scenes and subject matters, including the Ridgeway walk near Wantage, a seabed, and a market in China.

Catriona Brodribb, a member of the Oxford Printmakers’ group, said: “Visitors have described the work as inspiring, varied and colourful.”

Miranda Laurence, Cornerstone’s arts development officer, added: “We sold our first piece within hours of opening the exhibition and, with prices starting at £40, we hope that many of our visitors will come away with a piece of unique artwork to remember the exhibition by.”

The Oxford Printmakers’ group was set up by a group of artists in 1976.

The co-operative meets at Christadelphian Hall in East Oxford, and is self-funded.
