Two men have been arrested in connection with an armed robbery at a Headington betting shop last week.
The 18-year-old suspects, both from Headington, are currently in custody after being arrested this morning on suspicion of armed robbery and firearm offences.
Police said two masked robbers threatened staff at Stan James, in Roundway, with a gun and demanded money on Thursday at 11.30am.
Eyewitnesses said they were wearing balaclavas and carrying guns wrapped in clingfilm, while staff said a “low amount” of money was taken.
It was the second time in two months that the bookmakers had been targeted by armed robbers after another incident involving three suspects on January 20.
