Manchester police were last night unable to confirm whether a man from Cowley, Oxford, was still being held by by counter-terrorism officers following his arrest.
The 29-year-old was reportedly arrested in Cowley last Tuesday on suspicion of being concerned in the commission, preparation or instigation of acts of terrorism, relating to fighting in Syria.
Police have until tomorrow morning to either charge or release him on bail.
Another 29-year-old Manchester man has been charged and two others released.
