Counter-terrorism police have until Tuesday morning to interview a man arrested in Oxford on suspicion of supporting fighting in Syria.
The 29-year-old man was arrested in Cowley on Tuesday morning this week and is being held in Manchester.
He is being held on suspicion of being concerned in the commission, preparation or instigation of acts of terrorism, relating to fighting in Syria.
The North West Counter Terrorism Unit has also arrested two men, aged 18 and 29, from Levenshulme, and a 21-year-old woman from Trafford, Greater Manchester.
