TAKING time out to relax with a hot drink with friends can do anyone the world of good.
So the team from charity Home Instead Senior Care did just that at a coffee morning to raise money to improve the quality of life for dementia sufferers.
Members met for tea and cake at Yarnton Nurseries last Thursday.
The team raised £82.50 for Dementia UK through donations and a raffle and community support representative Lorraine Ball was thrilled with the turnout.
Mrs Ball said: “The morning went really well.
“We had a number of different people turn up, including a lady from the WI. Some local businesses donated items for the raffle.”
There are an estimated 800,000 people diagnosed with dementia in the UK.
Dementia UK was first registered as a charity in 1994.
