MODELS and designers were given VIP treatment as they celebrated the launch of Oxford Fashion Week.

The opening party was held at the 1855 Wine Bar and Bistro in the Castle Quarter on Monday. Guests included models, organisers, media and partners of the event.

London designers Hector Maclean, Omar Mansoor and Nina Jovonavic were also present, as well as representatives from from High Street brands including Levi’s and Jigsaw.

Fashion Week director Carl Anglim said: “I was really pleased with the turnout and we had a fantastic time.

“I’m thrilled to be starting the week and everything is coming together really nicely.”

New features were also announced at the launch.

The lingerie show at Malmaison tomorrow will feature snakes and Saturday’s concept runway show at the Randolph Hotel will see the ballroom transformed with a wilderness theme.
