WILL the city’s greyhound stadium ever be reopened? Developers want to flatten it and a businessman heavily involved in the sport says it is not sustainable.

It’s enough to make those who love greyhound racing shake their heads.

But take a closer look, and coming in on the inside there appears to be a late contender to win the day.

Harry Redknapp’s business partner Nick Budimir says he has promised people he will save the site from demolition.

And he thinks its future will see a community centre built there to help make it viable.

The race, it seems, is far from run.
