Around 20 per cent more students are going to Oxford Brookes University than two years ago.
The Ucas figures show a 21 per cent increase in the number of applicants going to the university in 2013, compared with 2011.
Statistics also show that last year the university accepted 4,655 applicants.
An Oxford Brookes spokesman said: "Entry numbers were lower in 2011 than previous years due to the introduction of the new tuition fee regimes.
"Entry numbers in 2013 were back in line with where they were in 2010."
Meanwhile, the University of Oxford’s numbers have fallen one per cent in the same period – from 2,695 to 2,670.
