Police officers were called to St John Street in central Oxford yesterday morning after reports of a suspicious package.
Thames Valley Police officers were called to Oxford University’s Rewley House at around 7.40am and the road was cordoned off.
Police spokesman Rhianne Pope said: “It was quickly established that the package posed no threat and the cordon was lifted.”
