Youngster Charlotte Nott is waiting on the results of an MRI scan.
The six-year-old, who celebrated her birthday on Monday, had the scan last week at the John Radcliffe Hospital to see if a bone infection had cleared up.
Charlotte, a pupil at Horspath CofE Primary School, had the lower parts of her arms and legs amputated after contracting meningitis as a baby.
Mum Jenny Daniels, 32, of Brasenose Driftway in Oxford, said her daughter had been finding it difficult to walk following three operations for a bone infection.
