COMEDIANS brought cheer to the streets of Oxford in a different way yesterday.
Members of improvisation comedy group Oxford Imps handed out more than 100 cupcakes in Broad Street ahead of their 10th anniversary show at the New Theatre in George Street on February 13.
Show producer Dylan Townley said: “Most imps have never done improv or even comedy before they join the troupe, yet our alumni go on to do fantastically funny stuff on BBC3, Radio 4 comedy, the London stand-up circuit, and have a huge presence at the Edinburgh Fringe.”
The group, which made its debut at the Wheatsheaf in High Street in 2004, has given more than 450 performances.
