HIDDEN talents were unveiled on stage by pupils at New Marston Primary School in Oxford.

Parents and fellow pupils cheered on 24 acts which took part in the annual New Marston Has Talent show auditions at the school in Copse Lane.

Among them was a singing and dancing group made up of Phoebe Parker, seven, Ashley De Leon, eight, Stevie-Ann Ritson, seven, and Casey Whiting, eight.

Phoebe said: “It was fun because we got to go up on stage and show all our hidden talents.”

Ashley added: “We were quite nervous before we went on stage because there were lots of people there, and my mum was there.

“The judges were going to pick a winner and we were scared we were not going to get picked. We didn’t, but we had fun.”

Pupils from years two to six gave auditions before three acts were chosen to go through to the finals on Friday.

Headteacher Zara d’Archambaud said: “It was lovely. They were all so supportive of each other clapping along and cheering.”
