CYCLISTS in Oxford can now tune-up their bikes on their traditional day of rest.
Broken Spoke Bike Co-operative in Pembroke Street has expanded the days it holds sessions allowing cyclists to come in and fix their bikes. As well as Friday and saturdays, repair sessions are being held on Sundays between noon and 6pm.
The store provides all tools for sessions, which cost £7 for adults or £5 for concessions.
Co-Op member Eleanor Smith said: “Our main aim is getting more cyclists on the road. We often have people who are surprised about how often they should pump their tyres up.
“Most people come when their bike breaks. But some come in simply just to learn.”
There is a women-only night from 6pm to 9pm on first and third Wednesdays of every month.
