A car was set alight by the side of Grenoble Road, Oxford, in a suspected arson.
Firefighters were called to the burning Renault Scenic at about 11.30pm on Sunday.
The crew from Slade Fire Station used a hose reel to put out the flames and had left the scene by 12.20am.
Oxfordshire Fire and Rescue Service said the matter was passed to Thames Valley Police.
