A PCSO has been treated in hospital after a driver hit his with his car in Headington.
The PCSO was attacked when he approached a man who appeared to be tampering with number plates on a black VW Golf in Wharton Road.
The man – who police say had ginger hair and was in his 30s or 40s – then jumped in the car and reversed towards the PCSO.
The PCSO suffered cuts and bruises and was treated at the John Radcliffe Hospital after the incident at about 4.35pm on Wednesday. Anyone with information should call police on 101.
