A 31-year-old woman has been charged with threatening a person with a Samurai sword in a public place after armed police swooped on a residential estate.
The woman was also charged with possession of a controlled drug, class B, following her arrest on Sunday following an incident on Oakwood Way in Cumnor Hill. One witness said police cordoned off the road. The incident happened at about 3pm.
Thames Valley Police declined to comment on why it did not release details of the incident until after it was contacted by the Oxford Mail.
