MODERN Art Oxford is tracing the history of graphic design in the last 50 years with posters from its own shows.

The exhibition, Notice! Modern Art Oxford in Print, brings together 400 posters from the gallery’s archive dating back to 1966.

Curator of exhibitions and projects Ciara Moloney said: “This show charts developments in graphic identity and promotion of exhibitions from the 1960s to the present day.

“It is a great way to share the gallery’s incredible history of presenting contemporary art in Oxford. Visitors are really enjoying seeing the changes in visual styles across the decades and picking out their favourite posters.”

On Thursday, January 23, designer Fraser Muggeridge, designer and writer Eric Kindel and artist Tom Bloor will be exploring the development of graphic design over the last 50 years in a talk at the museum starting at 7pm.
