DO you like experimenting with music?
Then get yourself along to a jam session tonight at 7.30pm held at Oxford Brookes University’s Gipsy Lane campus.
Artist Lee Riley showed how it could be done at the Oxford Improvisers Group’s first meeting of the new year last week.
About 10 musicians came along with unusual instruments to the meeting at the Old Fire Station in George Street.
Mr Riley, 34, an artist and part-time watch mender of Iffley, Oxford, brought a guitar he played with feathers and a violin bow.
He said: “People have different musical abilities but enjoy coming along for jam sessions. I like experimental music including doom metal and the music we play is heavily improvised.”
