CHRISTMAS shopping is stressful enough without having to think about wrapping your presents.
But shoppers at the Westgate Centre in Oxford can get some welcome relief for the third year running.
Volunteers are wrapping gifts in exchange for donations to the John Radcliffe Hospital to care for newborn babies. One of those Caroline Walker, 53, from Marcham said she was “overwhelmed” by the generosity of some people.
She said: “I love my friends, and I recognise the good work the John Radcliffe does, that is why I do it.”
Organiser Margaret McLuckie said: “Every penny that we raise will go to this fantastic cause.”
The gift wrapping desk will be outside Sainsbury’s in the Westgate at the following times:
Today, tomorrow and Friday: 10am-8pm
Saturday: 9am-5.30pm
Sunday: 11am-4pm
Monday: 9am-8pm
Christmas Eve: 9am–4.30pm
