Rachel's final cut
4:00pm Saturday 2nd November 2013 in News
A WOMAN is to shave off her luscious locks in a bid to raise money for Helen and Douglas House hospice.
Rachel Smallman, 29, wants to raise £500 for the East Oxford charity and decided to cut all her hair off.
She said: “I’ll probably end up looking like my dad.
“I’m not sure why I am doing it now, but I really want to raise money for the charity and I thought this would be a fun way to do it.
“I am too lazy to do a run or anything, so this seemed like a good idea.”
Miss Smallman, of Carterton, will then donate the hair to the Little Princess Trust who use real hair to make wigs for children who have lost theirs through illness.
The emergency dispatcher at the ambulance service added: “This way I will be giving to two charities.”
She has so far raised £360. She will grab the trimmers on November 9 in Witney.
