Cyclist taken to hospital after crash with car on A40 at Cassington

A cyclist has been taken to hospital after a crash on the A40 this afternoon.
The cyclist, who is in his 50s, was taken to the John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford after a collision with a Red Volkswagen just after 2pm.
He was treated at the scene for suspected head and leg injuries.
A Thames Valley Police spokesman said: “We received a report from the ambulance service at 2.12pm to a collision on the A40 at Cassington between a cyclist and a car.
“The car, a red Volkswagen, remained at the scene where officers attended.
“The ambulance service gave treatment to the cyclist who had suspected head and leg injuries and was taken to the John Radcliffe.
“Anyone with any information should contact 101.”
