CHIP shop owner Oliver Black is hoping his juicy idea for fish and chips will go down a treat.
The 20-year-old from Carterton has taken over the Happy Cod in Atkyns Road, Wood Farm, Oxford, and has pledged to bring quality and traditional suppers back to the area.
He has worked in the fish and chip shop business since he was 16 and his family has run the Happy Cod shop in Witney for more than six years.
He said: “I left school and I went straight into fish and chips. I have always been around it when I grew up.”
Mr Black also employs his mum Caron, 50, part-time at the estate shop, adding: “This is a family-run business.”
He said his business was focused on serving quality food, adding: “We serve a slice of lemon with every fish and it is fresh fish.
