Two men will abseil down Castle Mound with strimmers to cut the grass today.
The team from Oxford Garden Design will begin the project at the Oxford Castle site, off New Road, at about 7am and will also clear up any rubbish.
Company owner Sheena Patterson said: “The Castle Mound is looking neglected and overgrown, with crisp packets, cans and bottles lying around.
“It is a prominent landmark, and an important part of the history of Oxford.”
The work will be completed by 5pm on Wednesday.
