Pegasus Theatre branches out with arts and crafts fair
1:00pm Thursday 29th August 2013 in News
MORE than 40 exhibitors will be taking part the first Pegasus Theatre Arts and Crafts Fair next week.
Paintings, photography, designs, knitting, and handmade crafts will be among the items on show at the theatre in Magdalen Road, East Oxford, on Saturday, September 7.
Organiser Sasha East said: “I think it will be really buzzing and full of creative people.
“It is a really good opportunity for people to see things they wouldn’t normally see which make very good gifts and are really nice to look at.
“There are a lot of people coming from very close by – one painter is coming from East Oxford so I just imagine him picking up his easel and coming to the theatre.”
Exhibitors from Oxford will be joined by those from further afield including Kent and Wiltshire.
Design and knitting workshops will be running on the day as well as children’s activities such as bubble sculpting.
The fair runs from 10.30am until 4.30pm.
Proceeds from the event will go towards running the theatre.
Tickets to the event costs £2 for adults with children admitted free.
