Revellers are being encouraged to recycle after enjoying barbecues in the city this summer.
Oxford City Council is reminding people to use their blue recycling bins or boxes for recycling extra bottles as well as sending food waste for composting.
City waste tsar John Tanner said: “The kerbside recycling collection makes it easier than ever to recycle drinks cans, bottles and jars from barbecues during the heat wave.
“With food waste recycling it means that any burnt burgers can go for composting rather than being sent to landfill.”
