The Oxford Castle Quarter will be transformed into a beach today.
Max Mason, owner of The Big Bang Restaurant in the quarter, is funding the £20,000 attraction with The Oxford Castle Quarter, pictured, to provide fun activities for visitors over the summer.
Up to 23 tonnes of sand will be unloaded at 9am and Mr Mason expects the sand to be spread by the end of the day.
The beach will open every day from 10am to 11pm and officially opens on Friday.
