Congratulations to the West Oxford Community Renewables group which has successfully raised an impressive £320,000 for its hydro electric scheme.
It’s a remarkable achievement in such a short space of time, and we wish them good luck. Throw in solar panels and wind turbines, and Oxford is become something of a green oasis.
Anything that harnesses our natural resources to generate power for homes in an environmentally-friendly way can only be a good thing.
