500 homes without power in Summertown this morning

MORE than 500 homes are still without power this morning following a power cut in Summertown at 10am.
The cut initially affected 1,024 homes but was restored to about half of these within 20 minutes.
Holly Stanford, spokeswoman for Southern Electric, said engineers are working to restore the supply to the remaining homes but could not give a time when power is expected to return.
Engineers are also investigating the cause of the power cut.
