A FREE exercise class in Oxford proved so popular that another one was set up the week after its launch.

The Lottery-funded sessions began at Rose Hill Community Centre last month, with about 20 people attending, so the following week the group was divided and a second class was created.

Instructor Jason Biles, 46, from Chipping Norton, said: “They are going really well, we have had a fantastic response.”

Rose Hill community worker Fran Gardner said: “People can get better personal attention if we keep our class size to about 10.”

The sessions are held on Thursdays from 9.30am to 10.30am and the second from 10.30am to 11.30am. To book a place, call Fran Gardner on 07770 324277.

Let's be honest, most people will try anything that is 'free' - though one might question whether Lottery Funding might not have been put to more worthwhile need in the community - and doesn't Fran Gardner work for property developer, GreenSquare?
