THE hard-pressed taxpayer may grumble at the expenditure on the revamp of the Market Street toilets in Oxford but there is, in truth, nothing grimmer than nasty public conveniences.
That smell at the entrance door is often more than enough to turn you away even before the sight that awaits within in some loos.
At least the council is trying to make a difference and this will only be a waste of money if we treat the new facilities as abdominally as before.
We’re not animals so let’s not act like them.
