STREET dancers are gearing up for the British Championships in just two weeks’ time.

Blackbird Leys-based Messy Jam, including Bradley Morton, eight, and Max Webb, 10, pictured, are fine-tuning routines for street dancing’s biggest competition The UDO British Street Championships 2013 on March 15 in Somerset.

Dance teacher Ellisha Peart, from Barton, said: “We have only recently started competing, and it is so soon now.

“Bradley and Max are great little dancers.

“Bradley just has so much personality and really, really knows how to dance to music. His timing is phenomenal.

“He was quite shy when he first started but he has really come out of his shell. It has been really good for him.

“Max has such good upper body strength. He is a really good little gymnast who will flip off anything. He’s fearless.

“All of the kids are just so good, though, and really love it. They come from all over Oxfordshire.

“Bradley is from Barton and Max is from Headington but we get kids from Witney, Wallingford, Rose Hill, north Oxford.”
