AN ELDERLY woman was taken to Oxford’s John Radcliffe Hospital following a two car smash this morning.
The woman had to be freed from her silver Ford Fiesta by firefighters following a collision with a blue Ford Mondeo that had hit the barrier on the M40 on the London-bound carriageway between junction 8a, Oxford, and junction 9, Bicester.
Police were called to the scene at 4.11am and closed two lanes from 4.30-6.20am. The woman had minor injuries.

"London-bound carriageway" I'll give you a clue for next time your writing a traffic report. London-bound the junction numbers go down.
How often are we going to see this from the Oxford mail. it's not hard to get basic facts correct.

Age 67, 87 or 107? For some, 27 and 47 are termed elderly!
Must have been a good rave in Warwks, or just getting to the nearest post office early enough to get in the queue for her pension.
Wiltz is right - BBC Five Live does this style of location misreporting it all the time.
