Helicopter helps police search for vulnerable man in Blackbird Leys

A police helicopter search was launched after a vulnerable man went missing on the Blackbird Leys estate.

Officers spent 45 minutes over the estate between 10.45am and 11.30am yesterday and the man was found safe and well.

Police initially refused to confirm the detailed reasons for the helicopter’s deployment, but later said they had had concerns for the man’s welfare.
