MOTORISTS driving through Farmoor are urged to exercise caution with standing water on the road.

Water around five inches deep is reported on the road on the B4044 Oxford Road in both directions between B4017 Cumnor Road and Orchard Road.

The road is passable but vehicles are having to give way to those travelling in the opposite directions.

Steve Harrison, owner of nearby Botley Windscreens on the Cumnor Road, said: “There is standing water on the road by Oaken Holt Care Home.

“It is completely passable you just have to give way to other traffic and not drive straight through.

“Traffic is absolutely fine it is not backing up.”

Drove through there last night, road was heavily flooded, looks like the verges need a channel to be dug into them to let the watre drain away.

Loads of new potholes have opened up in the last few days, can't see them being repaired anytime soon, there must be at least 500 within and on, the ring road alone. The 423 is very bad, and Magdalen an Folly bridges are like bomb sites.

I know we've had some terrible conditions so far this winter but the councils and road authorities have got to do more to repair pot holes. The roads are in a terrible state at the moment. As bad as I can ever remember.
