Oxfordshire man arrested on suspicion of business espionage
A 52-YEAR-OLD man was arrested this morning in Oxfordshire on suspicion of business espionage.
The Metropolitan Police Service made the arrest as part of Operation Tuleta, an investigation into criminal breaches of privacy.
The man was arrested at around 7am at his home in Oxfordshire on suspicion of offences under Section 3 of the Computer Misuse Act 1990.
The MPS said that the man was not a police officer, a public official or a journalist, but would not give his profession.
He will be interviewed at an Oxfordshire Police Station and a search of his property is being carried out.
The arrest, the 20th in Operation Tuleta, is part of the Kalmyk investigative strand of inquiry relating to computer hacking offences.
Operation Tuleta is being run in conjunction with MPS investigations into phone-hacking and allegations of inappropriate payments to police and public officials.
