THE long arm of the law became a little more real for youngsters at an Oxford primary school with a visit from two of Thames Valley Police’s finest.
Police Community Support Officers Fran Stafford and Helen Webber dropped in on the foundation stage class at Cutteslowe Primary School as part of a project called ‘When I grow up’.
The idea is to introduce the children to different careers and the PCSOs’ visit followed one from a builder. Firefighters, doctors and nurses will also drop in over the coming weeks.
Ruby Chivers, four, from Cutteslowe, said: “To talk to the policeman we have to phone 101.”
Class teacher Emma Taylor said: “One of the boys said he wanted to be Spiderman at the beginning, but since the builder came in, he has said he wants to be a builder.”
