TAKING audience interaction to new levels, an Oxford comedy troupe is preparing to make up a pantomime as it goes along.

The costumes are in place, but the fishnet-wearing heroes and villains will juggle, fight, or dance their way through a story in any way the crowd desires.

Oxford Comedy Deathmatch hold regular shows at Folly Bridge Inn in Abingdon Road based on game improvisation, but are upping the stakes to put on an entire show.

Director Mike Taylor, 47, from Wolvercote, said: “We’ve got absolutely no idea what will happen at all. It will be great. We ask the audience at the beginning to tell us who the characters are, whether they love or hate each other, and we go from there.”

The group is running one workshop a week at St Giles Church Hall, in Woodstock Road, Oxford, for any resident who fancies becoming the city’s next star.

Impropanto 3 will run between January 30 and February 2, at the Simpkins-Lee Theatre, Lady Margaret Hall, Oxford.

Performances take place at 7.30pm every day with a 2.30pm matinee on February 2.
