Update: Banbury Road re-opens after crash
8:13pm Saturday 5th January 2013 in News By Jason Collie
BANBURY Road in Oxford has re-opened tonight after a serious crash involving a pedestrian and a car.
The accident happened at about 4.35pm just south of Cutteslowe roundabout.
It was initially reported the route into the city would be closed until late tonight, but police have finished their investigations and cleared the scene to allow the road to be re-opened.
A South Central Ambulance Service spokesman said an elderly woman suffered head and arm injuries and was taken to Oxford's John Radcliffe Hospital.
Thames Valley Police has refused to give any details about the crash.
