Shop burgled

A barber shop in Little Clarendon Street, Oxford, was burgled on New Year’s Eve and handbags and watches stolen.

The thieves smashed a window of Oxford City Barbers some time between 5pm on December 31 and 10am the next day.

Owner Muath Abujazar said the total cost of the burglary was around £5,000.

Police are appealing for witnesses on 101.
