Probe continues after man stabbed by gang

DETECTIVES were still investigating last night after a man was stabbed five times when a masked gang forced their way into his home and demanded he hand over property.
Five men forced their way into the house in Clive Road, Cowley, at about 3.30pm on Sunday.
Police say a 39-year-old man suffered five stab wounds to the leg, back and shoulder areas. He was taken to the John Radcliffe Hospital for treatment and was discharged on Monday.
Investigating officer Det Con Steve Martin said: “I am looking to speak to any witnesses who saw a group of men hanging around the Clive Road area before the incident, or who saw the men running off in the direction of the John Allen Centre afterwards.
“We are not treating this as a random incident and believe this property may have been specifically targeted.”
