Festivities led to missed bail
10:30am Monday 31st December 2012 in News
A suspected drug dealer failed to report to a police station because he was celebrating Christmas.
Joseph Kibble, of Pennywell Drive, missed his Boxing Day appointment to answer bail at Cowley Police Station.
He was charged with possession of cocaine and cannabis with intent to supply in May and possession of a weapon for discharge – a can of noxious gas.
At Oxford Magistrates’ Court on Thursday the 28-year-old said: “It was Christmas. I took my eye off the ball.”
He was released on bail again to appear at Oxford Crown Court on January 14.
