Very poor reporting from the OM again. There is NO junction of Between Towns Road and Cowley Road.

Indeed, it's not immediately possible to narrow it down to just one potential junction either.

At the East end of Between Towns Road there is Oxford Road which leads onto Cowley Road (Oxford).

At the West end of Between Towns Road there is Crowell Road which leads onto Littlemore Road which leads onto Cowley Road (Littlemore).

Looking at a street map, Cowley Road (Littlemore) is marginally closer to a junction with Between Towns Road than Cowley Road (Oxford).

Ref location :- Could this be an Inspector Morse location?

Perhaps somebody with pretentions of being a reporter watched an old recording last night.

Merry Christmas.

The police are no better with their locations, that is why my last prosecution was dropped, as there is no junction between Cowley Road and Hendred Street either. A hundred yards makes all the difference.

Laughing now! Posters commenting on the OM's report regarding the location of this accident.....but no comment or well wishes for the injured female who was (as reported by the OM) rushed to the JR!
Just to make things clear for some: the accident occured by the traffic lights just towards Tesco's from the Cowley police station/next to the pub/you know..... where the buses turn right to go to BBL and the Cowley Centre (know where I mean?).

BTW: I happened to be a pedestrian walking by sometime after the incident whilst the emergency services where still in presence at the scene.

At the Junction of Between Towns Road, Oxford Road & Garsington Road.
