A New York businessman has shipped 150 teddies to the UK to make life more bearable for sick children in Oxfordshire.

Millionaire Joseph Sprung launched the Bears 4 Kids foundation to cheer up children across the United States.

Oxford Children's Hospital, at the John Radcliffe Hospital in Headington, is the first in the country to link up with the organisation. And on July 21, bears will be handed out to patients.

Pictured with some of the bears are, back, Emily Hodgkins, Sheila Cooper and Erica Watson, front, Ella Hughes, Penny Hambridge and Alison Pyrah.

Yet another sign of the complete failure of this governments open borders policy, these bears have no doubt been smuggled into the country in a container by a Mr Big (probably the one referred to only as 'Paddington') and from there will disappear into homes all over the county. As they all look the same they know there is no chance that the authorities will catch them and they are free to set up their illegal honey rustling scams. Its time they were rounded up and put into Campsfield if you ask me, there's far to many bears in this country all ready.

Actually, at the risk of sounding pedantic, Ffrench is not a spelling. Approx 200 years ago a capital F was written as ff in one form of handwriting and obviously stuck with some. Could be construed as pretentious I suppose, a bit like Smyth! Conformity in spelling is fairly recent when compared to the age of writing, even Shakespeare was known to spell words differently even in the same sentence.
OK, here endeth the lesson!
