Valentine gift arrives
PARENTS Karl Ralph and Nicola Harrison had to cancel their romantic plans on Valentine's Day - but still received the best possible present.
The couple were due to mark the occasion by spending an evening in Birmingham but did not reckon on Miss Harrison, 33, being rushed to hospital when she went in to labour.
She gave birth to a baby girl, Anya, at the War Memorial Hospital, Chipping Norton, on Wednesday of last week.
Proud father Mr Ralph, 33, said: "We were going to go to Birmingham and I was taking my partner for a meal.
"The baby was due the previous week but it was lovely to wait until Valentines Day. It was the best Valentines present anybody could have wished for, not just for me and my partner, but for the whole family."
Baby Anya was born weighing 8lb 9oz.
