A wealth of musical talent will come together in the Pavilion to celebrate the epoch defining music of Pink Floyd.

Merseyside tribute supergroup Eclipse are rocking up to Rhyl this month to present a great gig in the sky guaranteed to delight fans with the live treatment the bands rich back catalogue demands.

For the mammoth task of doing the music of Floyd justice, Eclipse brings superfans David Crilly on guitars, Toni Hughes on keyboards and Martin Byrne on bass and vocals from led Zeppelin tribute Mothership together with AZ/DC's drummer Daz Jones and Dr Strangelove guitarist Frank Ryan.

Sax accompaniment - a must for solos on classics such as Money - is provided by Steve Riley and the soaring vocals of Jade Thunder - who has performed around the UK with artists including Gary Murphy Band, The Connie Lush Band and Captain Beefheart’s Magic Band - completing the set-up.

The current Eclipse production contains a selection of Floyd classics, including music from The Wall, Wish You Were Here, Meddle and The Division Bell.

However, when it comes to recreating the truly epic scope of the iconic album Dark Side of the Moon, the ebb and flow of such a masterpiece stands so far above even such exalted company, it truly warrants a show of its own.

The band - who take their name from the albums final track - will dedicate the second half of their show to bring to the album to life in its entirety, from the mellow moments of Us and Them via the to the manic Brain Damage through to the soaring, triumphant Great Gig in the Sky and beyond.

The enduring appeal of the album no doubt lies in it's perfect curation, and Eclipse' masterful musicians are perfectly in tune with how best to compose Dark Side's rhythm and tonal shifts to rev the audience up and lull them back down for a truly transcendental experience of one of rock's greatest achievements.

Apart from a level of musicianship that is second to none, the performance includes spectacular multi-media and laser effects to provide the perfect backdrop for this wonderful music and taking the music of Floyd to the next level.

To see and feel Floyd’s music performed live is truly the definitive way to appreciate the visionary songwriting and epic scale, and with Roger Waters, Dave Gilmour and Nick Mason unlikely to bring the band back together, Eclipse is truly an unmissable opportunity.

To experience the best of one of the most essential bands of the past 50 years, head to The Pavilion at 7.30pm on Friday, June 29.

Tickets are £17, with concessions, and are available from rhylpavilion.co.uk or by calling 01745 330000.
