THE UK'S largest dance festival returns to Halton this summer.

Creamfields will see some of the world's biggest acts descend on Daresbury on Saturday, August 25, for 15 hours of dance euphoria.

Chemical Brothers headline the award-winning event, while support comes in the way of some of the coolest performers on the planet.

Groove Armada, Carl Cox, Erick Morillo and Kelis have all been confirmed for the festival, which will welcome 40,000 revellers to the borough.

A spokesman for organisers Cream said: "This year the festival continues its commitment to live music with more than 12 bands performing and have secured one of the finest, coolest, mouth-watering line-ups ever - carefully put together with the sole objective to give you the experience of a lifetime."

While a licensing application has yet to be submitted to Halton Council, a launch party was held last week.

Other acts confirmed include coveted producer Mark Ronson, Liverpool boy/girl experimental outfit Ladytron, five-piece Indie ravers New Young Pony Club and Arctic Monkeys producers Simian Mobile Disco.

Tickets for the event, which runs from 3pm until 6am, cost £57 (plus booking fee) and are on sale now.
