MATCHBOROUGH West residents have had enough of being neglected.

Perhaps no-one has remembered we are a community with a high percentage of senior citizens and disabled people.

Or don't they care?

First, our 60/61 bus was removed.

Next, we were given a substitute provided by Whittles Coaches.

Some people were able to use this but many of us could not negotiate the very high steps, so were left to our own devices.

At least some residents could now get to Morrisons to do their shopping.

Now, unbelievably, even that has been taken away from us.

Any wonder we feel abandoned and neglected?

We are told we can use Dial-a-Ride. True, for those who are eligible - what about those who are not?

Also, to use Dial-a-Ride, one has to book three days in advance. So, no impulse travel for us! And it is also extremely difficult to get through on the phone, especially if one wants to travel on Thursday or Friday.

And just another MINOR complaint- the cost is 50p a trip, whereas a bus pass is free.

It was mentioned that there were not many passengers on the coach. Not surprising really when it was not disabled-friendly and many could not climb the steps onto a 72- seater coach.

So now we would like to be considered like the rest of the Redditch community and given tansport to town and around.
