Pendock Church hosts the first wedding in its 118-year history today (Friday).
Ledbury's Gavin Jones and Joanne Hodge are tying the knot at 2pm, surrounded by a dozen friends and family.
Rector Mike Rogers, who is taking the service, said: "I'm absolutely thrilled. Even though it's Lent, the church will be decked with flowers."
The church, built in 1889, was originally the daughter chapel to Pendock Old Parish Church, but when that was made redundant in 1988, it became a centre of worship.
Mr Rogers said nobody in the area was aware the church had a licence for weddings, until the pair approached him.
"Gavin used to go to the church as a boy, so it's great that local people want to use somewhere special for such a lovely occasion," he said.
