DAMAGE to the Galtres bar at Huntington Stadium has forced the Knights Supporters' Club to postpone tonight's Supporters' Club presentation evening.

Heavy rain on Thursday damaged part of the ceiling in the bar and there was water damage. With no guarantees that the venue would be okay by tonight, the fans' committee re-arranged the awards night for Saturday, October 7.

All tickets purchased for today's event will be valid, while anyone who has already bought tickets but cannot make October 7 will get a refund. Email Ian at knightsofyork@hotmail.co.uk for details.

Meanwhile, the Press/Collier Plant Hire Player of the Year accolade will be named and presented at the Knights' end-of-season awards night at York Racecourse next Friday.

Scott Rhodes and Jason Golden were neck and neck at the top of the standings going into the last game of the season at Leigh, in which rookie full-back Lee Mapals picked up the three player-of-the-year points for being man of the match.

Who collects the remaining player-of-the-year points could decide who wins the Player of the Year award and, also, who gets the top three cash prizes courtesy of sponsors Collier Plant Hire.

There are a few seats available for the Knights' end-of-season awards night. Anyone interested in booking a place can contact Leanne Cooper at the club office on 01904 758234 for details.

There will be a cut-price sale of Knights 2006 merchandise at the club shop at Huntington Stadium tomorrow from 10am to 1pm.
